Data Processing Agreement


1. Introduction

This Data Processing Agreement ("Agreement") forms part of the agreement between Wegeedem.com ("Wegeedem" or "Processor") and the vendor, organiser, or service provider ("Controller") using the Wegeedem platform.

2. Subject Matter and Duration

This Agreement governs the processing of personal data carried out by Wegeedem on behalf of the Controller. It remains in effect for as long as the Controller uses Wegeedem services or until the termination of the main agreement.

3. Nature and Purpose of Processing

Wegeedem processes personal data to:

  • Enable ticket sales, vendor services, and bookings
  • Support payment processing and communication
  • Facilitate event management and customer support
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

4. Categories of Data Subjects and Data

The data subjects include event attendees, customers, vendors, and organisers. The personal data processed may include:

  • Contact details (e.g. name, email, phone number)
  • Transactional data
  • Event preferences
  • Payment information (handled via third-party processors)

5. Controller Responsibilities

The Controller confirms that:

  • Personal data is collected and shared with Wegeedem lawfully
  • Appropriate consent has been obtained from data subjects
  • The Controller will comply with all applicable data protection laws (e.g. UK GDPR)

6. Processor Obligations

Wegeedem agrees to:

  • Process personal data only on documented instructions from the Controller
  • Implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures
  • Ensure confidentiality and restrict access to authorised personnel
  • Assist the Controller with data subject requests and regulatory obligations
  • Notify the Controller of any data breaches without undue delay

7. Sub-processors

Wegeedem may engage sub-processors to fulfil certain processing activities. A list of sub-processors is available upon request. Wegeedem ensures that all sub-processors are bound by data protection obligations no less protective than those in this Agreement.

8. Data Transfers

If data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, Wegeedem will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or UK International Data Transfer Agreements.

9. Audit and Compliance

The Controller has the right to request documentation or conduct audits (at reasonable times and with appropriate notice) to verify compliance with this Agreement.

10. Termination and Data Return/Deletion

Upon termination of services, Wegeedem will, at the Controller’s request, return or securely delete all personal data unless retention is required by law.
